KOTA KINABALU: The body of a man was found in Narinang River in Kota Belud yesterday morning more than three hours after he was reportedly swept away by strong currents.
Balture Goyong, 38, was said to be trying to cross the river at 4am yesterday when he was swept away by strong currents.
His body was found at about 7.20am some 2km downstream from where he was last seen, according to a statement from the Fire and Rescue Department.
It was retrieved from the river by Kota Belud firemen and handed over to the police for further action.
