37 attend two-day KBK-MSNS badminton coaching clinic

KUCHING: A total of 37 participants attended a two-day coaching clinic organised by Kelab Badminton Kenyalang (KBK) in collaboration with Sarawak State Sport Council (MSNS) at Sentosa Sports Centre in Jalan Stakan here starting last Friday.

According to a KBK press statement yesterday, they were not only from Kuching but also from as far as Belaga, Kapit, Betong, Sri Aman and Lundu. MSNS coach Johnny Ng and Andre Wijaya conducted the course.

Community leader Dato’ Paduka Dr Anthony Nait Mani, who represented KBK patron and Minister for Public Utilities Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom, handed over certificates to the participants of the course. Also present were KBK president Petrus Ngalih Tingi and secretary Anthony Ugor Nili.

The clinic was the second major activity held by KBK this year following an age-group tournament closed to members of the Dayak community. KBK also provided technical services to organizers of the Sarawak Dayak National Union (SDNU) President Cup and also organizers of Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Badminton championship.

KBK will next hold a blood donation campaign at Boulevard Shopping mall on Dec 9.
