DAP submits annual report to Registrar of Societies

PUTRAJAYA: DAP has submitted its annual report to the Registrar of Societies (RoS) following the re-election for the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) at a special congress on Nov 12.

Apart from the annual report, DAP organising secretary Anthony Loke also handed over two sets of financial statements for  financial year ending Dec 31, 2015, two copies of the minutes of  the 2017 annual general meeting and three copies of  the list of names of the office bearers in the CEC for 2017 to a ROS representative.

The auditor’s report was handed over on Nov 27.

Speaking to reporters afterwards, Loke said the submission of the documents fulfilled the requirements of the RoS, which had ordered the opposition party to hold the re-election following irregularities in two earlier elections for the CEC (an election and a re-election).

“Several complaints submitted by DAP members calling on RoS to probe the CEC re-election (on Nov 12) have no basis whatsoever because it (re-election) followed the laws and recommendations by ROS. So, we feel these should not be made issues,” he said.

Among the complaints were that the ballot papers did not have serial numbers and that the delegates list was not updated. — Bernama
