KUCHING: A man cheated death after his four-wheel-drive rammed a fallen tree at Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce yesterday.
In the incident that occurred around 2am, the driver escaped unhurt.
A Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said they received a call regarding the matter and arrived shortly at the scene.
“There was a huge tree branch on the road.
“The passing vehicle was badly damaged by the impact but the driver escaped unscathed.”
The spokesperson said the vehicle was removed by the victim’s friend who also rushed to the scene after learning about the incident.
Meanwhile, the firemen summoned to the scene cleared the road.
