Le Meridien lights Christmas tree

KOTA KINABALU: Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu celebrates Christmas with the lighting of a 15-foot abstract Christmas tree at the lobby of the hotel on Monday evening.

Apart from the traditional Christmas decorations, the Christmas tree was also decorated with hand-made ornaments by the associates using recyclable items from the hotel. The associates from the different departments of the hotel, got together to create these wonderful pieces using mineral water bottle, bottle caps, toilet roll tubes, old newspapers and magazines as well as empty bottles and boxes.

The general manager of Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu, Rachael Harman, led the Christmas tree lighting ceremony which was attended by hotel guests and corporate clients.

The guests were serenaded with the lovely Christmas carols performance by 29 students from Kinabalu International School.

Another special treat was the adorable Christmas dance number by children of Tadika Lily Mekar & Marycare Playschool.

Rachael thanked all the guests who attended the event, which hopes to promote the spirit of sharing and togetherness, especially during the holidays.
