KUCHING: The all new Subaru XV was launched at the first Sarawak Subaru 4S Centre here yesterday.

Sebangga Auto Sdn Bhd is the main Subaru dealer in Sarawak and the sole distributor in Labuan and Sabah appointed by Motor Image.

“We expect 12 to 15 per cent of sales from Sabah and Sarawak. This is the first centre in Sarawak, and more are coming,” said Sebangga group chairman Dato Arif Ambrose Ng at the launching ceremony yesterday.

Features of the newly-launched Subaru include a brand new Subaru Global Platform which delivers less shake and less body roll and more fun, 2.0 litre direct injection naturally aspirated boxer engine, symmetrical all-wheel drive equipped with X-Mode, rugged and sporty design with enhanced interior and exterior quality and enhanced safety features such as 7 SRS airbags and steering responsive headlights (only for 2.0i-P).

It is also the second generation to employ the revolutionary Subaru Global Platform which will make every drive an experience with heightened levels of confidence, comfort and control.

The all-new Subaru XV is a bold statement that will cater to Malaysians who require the practical and functional features of a compact SUV for their everyday activities.

Not just sales, service and spare parts, a 4S centre will cover spray and paint (body work).

Sebangga started their maiden 3S Centre here in East Malaysia in Labuan on Oct 2015, followed by Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan.

Within a year of Sebangga Auto’s embarkation in Labuan and Sabah, they launched a new and bigger 3S centre and Sabah headquarters at Jalan Tuaran in February this year to provide more efficient after sales support to all current and future customers.

Caring for those needy ones in society, Sebangga Auto donated RM20,000 to Batang Ai Education Bureau in support of child education.

Assistant Minister of Industrial and Investment Malcolm Mussen was guest-of-honour at the launching ceremony.

Also present were Sebangga Group CEO Syahrin Masri and Motor Image Malaysia country manager Andrew Lee.
