KUCHING: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) must recover all of its lost parliamentary seats in the 14th general election (GE14) in order to make Sarawak strong again.

Its president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said: “We want a stronger Sarawak and we don’t care what other people say”.

“Be ready for GE14 and let’s have a stronger Sarawak 31,” he said at the SUPP Youth Triennial Delegates Conference (TDC) here today.

Dr Sim added: “If we set our mind to it, we can do it.”

Barisan Nasional Sarawak lost six of its 31 parliamentary seats in the 2013 general elections.

All the six fallen constituencies are held by SUPP. They are Bandar Kuching, Stampin, Sarikei, Sibu, Lanang (won by Democratic Action Party) and Miri (wrested by Parti Keadilan Rakyat).

SUPP has seven parliamentary constituencies and the only seat that it presently holds is Serian.
