MIRI: IBS College Miri has achieved another milestone in its quest to become one of the premier institutions of higher education in Sarawak.
The business college was recently awarded with a ‘Six-Star Rating’ for — the highest under MyQuest Malaysia’s rating system.
Based on the just-released 2016/2017 MyQuest Ranking, IBS College Miri is the latest Malaysian private college to be awarded with the prestigious Six-Star Rating.
In total, there are only 15 Malaysian private colleges that hold such rating.
MyQuest is the Malaysian Quality Evaluation System for Private Colleges, developed by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) with the objective of evaluating the current quality standing of private colleges nationwide. The evaluation is necessary to ensure the nation’s private higher education sector is raised to competitive levels through continuous improvement and capacity-building.
IBS College Miri principal and president Dr Antony Hii said it was a great honour for the college to be awarded with such recognition, attributing the success to the support and dedication rendered by the staff and lecturers, as well as its partners and affiliates.
“IBS College Miri prides itself on its stringent demand for student service quality, compatibility of program syllabus with industrial demand, good corporate partner relationships and high student employability,” said Hii.
He assured all that with the Six-Star MyQuest Rating, his team would work harder to maintain this standing and aim to produce quality business graduates who would become valuable assets for future employers.
Meanwhile, registration for the college’s January intake is now open. The programmes provided are certificate, diploma, advanced diploma, bachelor’s degree and post-graduate studies in business.
