KENINGAU: Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) will be fielding its vice president 1, Robert Tawik, to defend the Bingkor state seat in the 14th general elections.

STAR president Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan announced this during the party’s Bingkor division Annual General Meeting (AGM) recently.

The Borneo Post learned that Jeffrey, the incumbent Bingkor assemblyman, would be contesting the Tambunan state and Keningau parliamentary seats in the GE14.

Jeffrey lost to his brother, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan of Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and a PKR candidate in a three-cornered contest for the Keningau parliamentaryseat in the 13th general elections.

When contacted here yesterday, Robert, who is STAR Bingkor division chief, thanked Jeffrey for nominating him as the party’s candidate for Bingkor.
