The Borneo Post wins award, Koh and Rakia’ah named top bowlers

KUCHING: The Borneo Post won the ‘Best Article Of The Year’ award for the second consecutive year at the Megalanes Sarawak Annual Awards ceremony at Lil Baba Restaurant, Megalanes Sarawak, Batu Kawa last Sunday.

Other nominees were See Hua Daily News, Sin Chew Daily and Borneo Talk.

The award was to recognise the contribution by the local media in providing coverage and promoting bowling activities at Megalanes Sarawak.

Adrian Koh was named the Best Male Bowler Of The Year. Koh’s rivals for the award were Lim Cho Kwang, Willie Chung, Abdul Muhamin Fitri, Bemen Wong and Danny Lim.

The Best Female Bowler Of The Year award went to Datin Rakia’ah Ali.  Nur Syazwani Marais, Dayang Salina Awang Kaum, Rosnita Endeng, Fatriezeriah Jerawi and Salmah Bakar were the other nominees for the award.

The most improved male and female bowlers of the year were Isman @ Osman Sri and Nur Diyana Musa respectively while Jopen Abut and Nur Syazwani Marais won the most sporting male and female bowlers awards.

Meanwhile, Elite were named the Team Of The Year over Frenz, Triple X, Silent Killer, VC United and Tay Motors while the Most Improved Team Of The Year was won by PBA X.

Lucky, captained by Datin Rakia’ah Ali, took the Most Sporting Team Of The Year award and the Best Corporate Club Of The Year was Sarawak Energy (HSSE Department).

SEB Inter-Departmental Bowling Tournament organised by Sarawak Energy was named the Best Organised Event Of The Year.
