HTC Malaysia has officially unveiled its flagship model— HTC U11+ in Malaysia yesterday. The U11+ is HTC’s first Full view smartphone that offers 6 inch Super LCD5 display with 18:9 aspect ratio and Quad HD+ resolution that has HDR10 support.
The upgraded HTC U11+ has shifted the fingerprint scanner to the rear panel to accommodate the inclusion of its Full view display.
Under the hood, it is running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage up to 2TB. It is packed with a 3,930 mAh capacity battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging capabiliy built-in.
Camera wise, it uses a 12MP UltraPixel 3 camera with an f/1.7 aperture lens and an 8MP front camera for selfies with HDR Boost support.
The U11+ is running Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Edge Sense feature called the Edge Launcher that allows you to launch your favourite apps, contacts and quick settings with a squeeze. Its other main features include IP68 water resistance that will allow you to submerge the device up to 1.5m of fresh water for 30 minutes.
In terms of color options, the U11+ comes in Translucent Black, Ceramic Black and Amazing Silver. HTC’s U11+ comes with a retail price of RM3,099 and will be available for pre-order in Malaysia from the 15th of January to the 21st of January at Lazada, 11street and Shopee. This handset will officially be available in offline channels from 22nd of January onwards.
