KOTA KINABALU: The National Registration Department (NRD) plans to further improve its mobile services programmes in Sabah and resolve the documentation problems of citizens of the State, especially those residing in rural areas with access difficulties.

NRD director general Dato Mohammad Razin Abdullah told press members during his visit to the NRD at the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) here yesterday that since the rural folks could not come to the NRD offices to arrange for their documents, the department would go to them instead.

“We will go down to the ground to provide our services to the people,” he said.

Mohammad also said that this year, NRD planned to further improve its delivery system and to shorten and reduce the waiting time for MyKad issuance.
