KUCHING: Football fans are set to enjoy an attractive discount if they purchase season tickets to watch matches at Stadium Negeri in the Malaysia League this year.

Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) commercial director Abdul Rahman Abang Naim said the prices for season tickets (open and roofed terrace seats) were reduced to enable more fans and supporters to turn up and watch the matches at the stadium.

“FAS has agreed to lower the ticket price for the 2018 season and the price offered is very worthwhile.

“The price for the platinum season pass remains the same. However the gold season pass will be sold according to the match and this pass gives the fan/supporters the experience of sitting in the grandstand,” he said.

The season tickets are now available at Lea Sports Centre headquarters at Wisma Hopoh while the other tickets can only be purchased on match days.

The platinum season pass is fixed at RM3,000, which will come with two Sarawak (home and away) jerseys, a Starsport bag, a scarf and a lanyard.

Pass holders can also watch the matches from the FAS lounge.

The gold tickets are priced at RM200 each for each match while the three other passes are  RM180, RM160 and RM120 each respectively.

For the ‘loose’ tickets, they can be purchased at RM10 each for the open terrace seats and RM15 each for the roofed terrace seats at Zone A, B and C.

Those interested in purchasing the season tickets can contact Mohamad Fuad at 012-8083445 or Junetta Maldamainda at 011-12643601.

Meanwhile, FAS voiced its full support for Sadong Jaya state assemblyman Aidel Lariwoo and Simunjan state assemblyman Awla Dris to go for the top leadership of the Samarahan Division Football Association during its annual general meeting at the end of this month.

FAs president Dato Posa Majais said the two candidates are most suitable to fill up the top two posts in the Samarahan Division Football Association based on their creditability in developing football in their respective constituencies.

“The duo are the best people to be the president and deputy president of the association for the term 2018-2019.

“I, at FAS, strongly encourage and support them but the decision will solely lie on the association executive committee,” he said.
