ITF Sarawak opens branch at OUM

KUCHING: Sarawak TaeKwon-Do Association (ITF Sarawak) has set up a new branch, which also serve as a training centre, at the Open University Malaysia (OUM) here recently.

The training centre caters for OUM students and also the public.

According to chief instructor Master Johnny Chai Min Fah (eighth Degree Black Belt), the association had also set up a registration booth during OUM Open Day last month.

“During the OUM Open Day last month, the club received very good support and feedback from the students,” he added.

He revealed that the ITF Taekwon-Do is recognised by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE).

“Students who participated in any activities organised by us will received a high co-curriculum points under uniformed units that will enable the students to have a higher chances for scholarship application and entry into both public and private universities,” he said.

Chai, on behalf of the association, thanked OUM Sarawak director Abdullah Borda for his support.
