KUCHING: An Indonesian housewife was found murdered in her home at Kpg. Bedup Longgok, Serian this afternoon.

According to a statement from Sarawak CID chief Datuk Dev Kumar, a 35-year-old farmer made a report at Serian Police Station this afternoon, informing that he found his wife in a pool of blood at their living room, after he picked up their daughter from school.

Initial police investigation confirmed that the 36-year-old victim has died of a slit throat.

Her husband has been detained for further investigation. The identity of the murderer and the murder motive have yet to be ascertained as of press time.
