PENAMPANG: Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) intends to lodge a formal complaint to the Election Commission (EC) by next week to address the party’s claim of 5,000 ‘dubious voters’.

“We will lodge a formal complaint. No worries about it. In fact, we are ready and we might be doing it next week,” Warisan secretary-general Loretto Padua Jr told reporters in response to EC’s recent call for the opposition party to lodge a formal complaint.

Loretto said Warisan was happy that the EC had responded to their claim.

Earlier this week, Warisan issued a statement claiming they found 5,000 voters having been moved from their constituencies.

The alleged discovery was made after scrutinising the 2017 fourth-quarter Supplementary Electoral Roll (RDPT ST4/2017), which was on display for two weeks until Jan 31.

Meawhile, Loretto disclosed that Warisan would be launching its very own mobile app, the first of its kind in Sabah.

He said Warisan president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal would reveal more details on the said app once it had been officially launched.

Warisan treasurer cum Moyog assemblyman Terrence Siambun said the app would focus on one-on-one interactions between the party members and leaders as well as to function as a proper channel for donations.
