Data integrity, members’ savings unaffected by fire — EPF

KUALA LUMPUR: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has given the assurance that there has been no compromise to data integrity or members’ savings in any manner due to the fire at its building in Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya, yesterday.

It said in a statement that its Petaling Jaya office and branch were temporarily closed until further notice due to the fire.

It said the EPF Crisis Response Team was working closely with the Fire and Rescue Department to ensure that the fire did not spread to any other floors or surrounding areas.

“As the safety of customers and staff is our prime concern, total evacuation of the building has been taken, and office and counter services are closed until further notice,” it said.

The statement also said that members and employers who wished to perform any transactions with EPF were advised to contact or visit the nearest EPF branch.
