KUCHING: Hamden Harbi got the Chinese New Year 2018 to a great start when he won the Megalanes Sarawak Newbies 139 & Below 8 Pin Tap Fun-Bowl on Friday night.
The recent champion of the Megalanes Skin’s Challenge 129 & Below Final posted scores of 300-300-168-277 to finish 77 pins ahead of Mohd Ashfanizam who scored 983 pins in the four-game event.
In third place was Tina Nazarina Nata who knocked down total of 933 pins.
The top three winners of this event will be sponsored by Megalanes Sarawak for the entry of the Megalanes Sarawak Ang Pow Classic to be held on Feb 18.
Taha Kassim came in fourth place just five pins behind Tina while youngster Goh Min Jie finished in fifth place with his total of 875 pins.
Mazri Selini managed a sixth place finish with 843
pins while Noor Azmi Tumu grabbed seventh place with 826 pins.
Eighth place went to Amirul Azres Morshidi after he felled 816 pins while there was a tie for ninth place between Ahmaddin Rejab Zaini and Rohani Lamat after both bowlers felled 815 pins.
