BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Coordinated rehearsals for the upcoming 34th National Day celebration are actively being carried out. To ensure the smooth running of the grand event this Saturday, the first rehearsal at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the capital was held, combining all levels of society nationwide, brudirect.com reported.
In attendance was Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as the Chairman of the National Day Celebration Executive Committee. Also present was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs
The involvement of all walks of life in the celebration portrays a clear message that each and every one of them has their own role and responsibility in deciding for the nation’s future. The rehearsals show their nationalism and team work from each participants. They were given the opportunity to learn the value of cooperation in making the celebration a success.
Meanwhile, the youth is one of the country’s integral groups as the nation’s future depends on them. The youth’s role and responsibility are to generate development for the people, the nation and the religion. For that, they should have strong nationalism and patriotism, apart from being highly competitive as the nation’s continuing generations.
This year’s theme “Menjayakan Wawasan Negara” or accomplishing the National Vision stressed on the responsibilities of all the societies in the nation in together being committed to uphold the Wawasan Brunei 2035. The full rehearsal will be held this Thursday at 8 in the morning at the same venue.
