KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia Bhd former chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh has joined AirAsia’s logistics arm, Redbox, AirAsia Group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said.
“Great to announce that Dato Shukrie, former CEO of POS Malaysia has joined AirAsia in our newly formed logistics arm, Redbox logistics,” he said in his Tweeter post yesterday.
He said Redbox, the low-cost courier express service provider, is a powerful e-commerce firm.
“Huge upside and value. We have the planes,” he said.
Mohd Shukrie stepped down from Pos Malaysia on Dec 31, 2017.
Under his stewardship, Pos Malaysia saw the acquisition of logistics-related assets, a strategic collaboration with Lazada Malaysia and the company being a local partner in developing the e-Fulfillment hub of the Digital Free Trade Zone (DFTZ). — Bernama
