SIBU: Sarawak Team will be represented by Miri women and Sarikei men at the National Maksak Volleyball Championship to be held in Kedah from March 22-25.
They have won the tickets to represent the state after emerging the champions at the state-level tournament at Sibu Indoor Stadium last weekend.
Miri and Sibu finished second and third in the women’s competition.
Second and third in the men’s category were Bintulu and Kapit.
Speaking at the prize-giving on Sunday afternoon, Maksak Sibu chairman Charles Siaw expressed confidence that both the men’s team and women’s team will do the state proud in Kedah next month.
Siaw, who is Sibu Resident, said both teams had shown their prowess, very much to his admiration.
