SIBU: Philip Chieng Beng Foo, who has been playing golf fairly anonymously for a decade, hit a hole-in-one in the recent Chap Goh Meh Special here to go home with a RM3,000 ‘ang pow.’
He stole the limelight from overall nett winner Abdul Hakim, nett group leaders Ling Soon Kiong and Forster Lau, and top three in the gross section Lee Ka Tung, Lau Ching Leong and Wong Tung Ann.
The tournament has been sponsored for over 10 years by Grolite Group of Companies led by Dato Sri Song Tiing Seng and his brothers Tiong Chuan and Ting Chai.
More than 100 golfers took part in the event held at Sibu Golf Course.
