KUCHING: Police are conducting a thorough investigation covering all angles in relation to the case of a woman’s severed head found along Sungai Batang Lupar, Jalan Skait Lama in Sri Aman last Saturday.

State CID chief Datuk Dev Kumar said police have seized several items from the couple’s house, including a freezer.

“It is speculative at this juncture to say that the freezer contained the remains of the victim.

“We are just being thorough in our investigation and are covering all angles,” said Dev Kumar when contacted by the Borneo Post today.

Dev also called on members of the public – netizens in particular – to cease speculating on the case, saying any form of speculation could interfere with police investigation on the case, which has been classified as murder following the arrest of the victim’s husband on Sunday

On March 3, a villager chanced upon the head, believed to be that of a woman, at around 4.30pm and promptly alerted the police.

CID personnel from Sri Aman police headquarters were dispatched to the scene upon receiving the report and recovered the severed head.
