SMK Chung Hua Miri records 100 pct pass for STPM 2017

The students are all smiles after receiving their STPM results.

MIRI: Eighteen students of SMK Chung Hua Miri were thrilled to receive their Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination result slips yesterday.

The lot comprises eight students from the Physics class, and 10 from the Biology class.

Principal Albert Ong Ngee Hong was very happy to see the results and congratulated all students for having passed last year’s examination.

“The Physics and Biology subjects showed 100-per cent passing rate, while Pengajian Am (General Studies) and Additional Mathematics each recorded 94-per cent passing rate.

“Indeed, we are very proud of all 18 students, who had worked hard and persevered last year,” he told reporters after the release

of the STPM results yesterday.

Based on the analysis, SMK Chung Hua Miri registered an overall Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.93.

Additionally, Jackson Jong Shen Jie scored 3As and 1B+, earning him a CGPA of 3.83 and also the honour of being the school’s top-scorer.

Next to him was Esther Kee Mei Ting, who bagged 2As, 1A- and 1B+, earning her a CGPA of 3.75.
