KOTA KINABALU: Two jobless men claimed trial at the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday to stealing a pack of chicken wings worth RM15.59 from a hypermarket.
Wellery Vitta @ Victor, 22 and Fedlee Juakin, 34, who were brought before Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie were accused of committing the offence at Giant Kepayan Ridge along Jalan Banjaran here at 7pm on March 11.
They face a joint charge under Section 380 of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of up to 10 years on conviction.
The court fixed case management on April 2 and released the accused persons on bail of RM3,000 each in two local sureties pending disposal of the case.
Prosecuting officer Inspector Suzie @ Stephanie Kupit prosecuted while the accused persons were not represented.
