CFM receives 4,789 complaints nationwide

KOTA KINABALU: The Communications and Multimedia Consumer Forum of Malaysia (CFM) received 4,789 complaints regarding communications and multimedia issues nationwide last year.

Its chairman, Mohamad Yusrizal Yusoff said among the complaints received were on the quality of services, bills and charges, misleading promotions and network problems.

“We managed to solve 97 percent of the complaints within 15 days and since early this year, we have received 679 complaints nationwide,” he told reporters after attending the ‘Gags and Coffee CFM:

He said each state had different issues and 44 out of 59 complaints from Sabah were regarding network problems.

Mohamad Yusrizal said consumers should continue to lodge complaints to CFM even if they had contacted the service providers.

Complaints can be channelled through the CFM complaint portal www.complaint.cfm.org.my, hotline 1-800-18-2222, mobile app ‘MY Mobile Rights’ and e-mel ([email protected]). — Bernama
