KUALA LUMPUR: Companies interested to vie for the National Annual Corporate Report Awards (NACRA) 2018 are invited to register and submit their entries by May 31.
The annual reports eligible for entry to NACRA 2018 are those with financial years ended in 2017.
The awards are open to all companies incorporated or registered in Malaysia, as well as that of the public sector and other organisations established in the country.
NACRA 2018 Organising Committee Chairman Stanley Teo Swee Chua said for this year’s awards, more focus would be given on sustainability reporting which has become a listing requirement and a key issue for companies and governments.
“This is in line with Bursa Malaysia Bhd’s revised listing requirements of which listed issuers must include sustainability reporting in their annual report,” he said in his opening speech at the NACRA 2018 launching ceremony here today.
The awards comprise seven categories, including overall excellence and industry excellence for listed companies. The NACRA 2018 presentation ceremony will be held on Dec 6, 2018.
Co-organised by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Bursa Malaysia, NACRA is aimed at promoting excellence in annual corporate reports. — Bernama
