SARIKEI: A family of six is made homeless after fire razed their house in Kampung Sungai Endot, Kabong last Friday night.
According Saratok Fire and Rescue Department chief, Khoo Boo Jang, they received a distress call at 11.28pm, and he with eight other firefighters in one fire engine and Emergency Medical and Rescue services (EMRS) vehicle rushed to the scene.
However, when they reached the scene, the two-storey wooden house was already totally razed to the ground, Khoo said.
They, together with four policemen, two Sesco staff and 10 Rela members, however, made sure the fire was completely doused off, finishing at 1am.
When the fire broke out only two adults were at home while the others spent the night with a relative.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire and loss incurred were still under investigation, Khoo said.
