KOTA KINABALU: Police are looking for leads into the case of a baby girl who was found lifeless at the playground at Taman Saga, in Kolombong Inanam this morning.
The baby was believed to be about eight months old, said City Police Chief ACP M Chandra.
Her remains has been sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 for post moterm to determine the cause of death, Chandra said.
According to him the discovery was made by a member of the public who came across the baby at the playground about 8am.
“Seeing that it was not moving, the person immediately called 999 to ask for assistance. The hospital was also informed to check on the baby and the Medical Officer who checked her confirmed that it was deceased,” he said.
“We urge those who may have information to the case to come forward aand assist in the investigation. They can also contact the nearest police station or the Investigating Officer Insp Nur Nabila at 013-2809231,” urged Chandra.
