PENSIANGAN: Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) will be fielding a young candidate for the Pensiangan parliamentary seat in the upcoming 14th general election (GE14).

Considering the increase in the number of young voters in recent years, PBRS secretary general Datuk Dr Johnson Tee said there is a need for younger leaders to come forth and bring about a rejuvenation of the party’s image.

“PBRS is looking forward to a good representation of young candidates in the coming election and a good composition of experienced and young leaders. It is therefore paramount whether at state or national level, that we must demonstrate that we have young talents coming through the ranks, especially in winnable seats.

“The party, however, is very rigid on selection as only people with the right qualifications and capability can be considered,” he said in a statement yesterday.
