KOTA KINABALU: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) confirmed that they will be contesting for six parliamentary seats  and nine state seats in the upcoming 14th general election (GE14).

Its chief Christina Liew said the six parliamentary seats include Ranau, Pensiangan, Tuaran, Tawau, Putatan and Beaufort, while the nine state seats are Api-api, Kuala Penyu, Matunggong, Moyog, Tamparuli, Inanam, Kadamaian, Tempasuk and Karanaan.

She explained that there may be additional seats in the coming days, which she said will be announced after finalisation.

“They could be either parliamentary or state seats. Hopefully there will be additions in the next few days,” she said.

Christina also said the PKR candidate list will be revealed shortly, adding that it includes many new faces.

Meanwhile, PKR has begun distributing hand bills to the public, which summarises the party’s manifesto.

Christina also said the third part of PKR’s manifesto will be revealed on April 21 in Sandakan, which is to be launched by former Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Dato’ Muhyiddin Yassin.
