Jimmy greeting people at Hotspring

TAWAU: Sri Tanjong state constituency Democratic Action Party (DAP) candidate, Jimmy Wong Sze Phin has strongly urged all voters, particularly in Sri Tanjong state constituency to check their status and polling station for this coming 14th General Election (GE-14) to avoid data from being changed without the voters’ notice thus losing their Civic responsibility.

He told the media while helping the people and hawkers to check their status and polling stations at Hotspring market here today morning and he also found that many of the voters’ previous polling station had been changed.

For this GE14, they (Barisan Nasional-BN) might afraid of not having a chance to win and think out some ghostly method. For instead, the voters’ previous polling station was at SJKC Hing Hwa or Sabah Chinese High School (SCHS); now it was a big ‘move house’ action in respect of their polling station has been changed.

Therefore, Jimmy strongly urged the voters must go check their status and polling station immediately. They could seek help from their children to check it through online or walk-in to the coffee shop (DAP Tawau office downstairs), next to Sin Onn market and they are also having their DAP mobile team.

According to him, this coming GE-14 is the best opportunity to change the fate of Malaysia. This is an opportunity to change the government and change for a ‘New Malaysia’.

While walkabout in Hotspring market, he also received a bitter complaints from a smallholder about some big consortium are bullying the smallholders and not allowing them to use their path enter to their (smallholders) plantation; some even intimidate the smallholders for a half million Ringgit penalty if palm oil are missing.

Jimmy hoped the big consortium could be more tolerance and help the poor group or impose relevant charges to the smallholders.

“I hope that people will see through this government (BN). If The Alliance of Hope (Pakatan Harapan) could be given the opportunity to govern, we must reduce the people’s burden, particularly in abolishing the Goods and Service Tax (GST),” he exclaimed.
