Police chief praises big disclosure of narcotic crime

BANJARMASIN, S Kalimantan: Banjarmasin City Police Chief Sr Comr Sumarto appreciated the big disclosure of narcotics crime by East Banjarmasin Sector Police also Drug Detective Unit (Satresnarkoba), AntaranewsKalsel reported.

“This is the result of hard work of members in the field in combating drug trafficking,” said Sumarto in Banjarmasin, Tuesday.

He was speaking during the exposure of East Banjarmasin catchment, namely five packets of sabu-sabu with weight 1 ounce 40 gram and 298 blue ecstasy pill and catch of Drug Detective Unit that is 82,68-gram sabu-sabu.

Sumarto revealed that initially, members of East Banjarmasin Crime Detective arrested RB (34) with four packages of sabu-sabu and Rp505,000 cash.

They developed the case, thus they caught another suspect, FH (29), with a large package of sabu-sabu, a medium package of sabu-sabu, three other packages of sabu-sabu, and 298 ecstasy pills.

“According to the confession of the two brothers suspects, the goods belong to someone who is in the Karang Intan Narcotics Prison and this case is still being explored,” said Sumarto who was accompanied by East Banjarmasin Police Chief Comr HM Uskiansyah.

Meanwhile, Satresnarkoba secured two dealers with initials HM (51) and US (39) with a total of 20 packs of sabu-sabu ready for circulation weighing 82.68 grams.

“With these two great disclosures, the Banjarmasin Police succeeded in saving 1,300 drug addicts from the use of illicit goods,” concluded Sumarto, who was also accompanied by the head of Drug Detective Comr Herry Purwanto.
