KOTA KINABALU: The Magistrate’s Court here today freed Sabah Bersih 4.0 chairperson Jannie Lasimbang from her four charges under the Peace Assembly Act 2012.
Magistrate Cindy Mc Juce Balitus acquitted and discharged Jannie Lasimbang after the magistrate ruled that the defence had cast doubt on the prosecution’s case.
Jannie, who was represented by counsel Ram Singh, was present in court with her supporters wearing yellow shirts written with the words “Justice For Jannie”.
