Businessman Hii turns up to support BN’s Ting in Miri

MIRI: A local prominent businessman Datuk Hii King Chiong turned up at the nomination centre in Miri Civic Centre yesterday to give his moral support to BN candidate for P. 219 Miri parliamentary seat, Datuk Sebastian Ting.

Hii, the ex-chairman of United People Party (UPP) Piasau contested as BN direct candidate for the Pujut seat during the last state election in 2016.

He failed in his attempt against DAP candidate Dr Ting Tiong Choon but said his spirit and support for BN is still strong.

So Hii wants to call on the people to continue to support and have confidence in BN.

“Let’s work together and assist the state government under the chief minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg to support the existing effort to reclaim more Sarawak rights from federal (government),” he said.
