SIBU: The car tyres of five people attending a DAP ceramah in Chew Siik Hiong Road were flattened when the air was let out by unknown persons on Sunday night.

One of the cars was rented by Special Branch policemen, who were keeping an eye on the public talk. The owners were there to listen to the speeches of Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and others. So far only the Special Branch personnel have lodged a police report.

DAP leaders, including David Wong, Irene Chang, Alice Lau and Oscar Ling helped the victims replace their tyres. Wong condemned the mischief makers and asked if they had come to stir trouble at their ceramah.
