BARABAI, S Kalimantan: A motorcycle burned in a fuel station (SPBU) in Kasarangan Village, Subdistrict of North Labuan Amas (LAU), Central Hulu Sungai (HST), Antaranews reported.
One of a resident who saw the fire, Setiawan, said the incident occurred at about 09.00 on Wednesday (2/5) when motorcycles, particularly fuel resellers, queuing for fuel.
According to him, the fire originated from a blue Suzuki Thunder motorcycle owned by HIS which experienced a gas leak in the carburetor and causing sparks.
Then the entire motor body burned and caused a panic of SPBU operators and the surrounding community who happened to queue to have filled the fuel.
But fortunately, the fire quickly can be extinguished by SPBU operators and assisted by the public by spraying the fire extinguisher.
The motor owner who is resident of Binjai Pirua Village, North Labuan Amas (LAU) suffered burns on the hands.
