LIMBANG: The Limbang 1Malaysia Community (K1M) has been called on to use new technologies to help disseminate the government’s policies.

Assistant Minister of Agriculture Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail said K1M members need to prepare themselves with the skills to face National Transformation 2050 (TN50).

“Every K1M needs to be prepared to use new methods because in the future we will be bombarded with new technologies towards the realisation of TN50,” he said at the district-level K1M event yesterday.

“Hence, the flood of smartphones, social media, and the most popular applications such as WhatsApp should be used for us to disseminate authentic information about current government policies.”

The Bukit Kota assemblyman added Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg’s focus on digital technology is to ensure Sarawak is not left behind.
