Sabah having two CMs sparks constitutional crisis?

Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal been sworn in as Sabah Chief Minister before Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin and witnessed by Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Tan Sri Richard Malanjum at 9.15pm today in Istana Negeri.

KOTA KINABALU: Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal was sworn in as Sabah Chief Minister before Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin at the Istana Negeri here at 9.15pm.

The ceremony was witnessed by Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Tan Sri Richard Malanjum.

Shafie’s appointment came barely 48 hours from the swearing in of Tan Sri Musa Aman as Chief Minister before the Head of State on May 10th at 11.06pm.

Both Musa and Shafie claimed they have the majority seats in the state assembly at the time of their swearing in as the Chief Minister.

With Sabah having two Chief Ministers,  sources from the legal fraternity opined the scenario has somewhat spark a constitutional crisis.
