DALAT: Skuad Kasih Sayang Plus presented Ramadan aid of RM100 and a hamper worth RM30 each to 30 needy individuals from Kampung Senau in Oya yesterday.

Minister of Welfare, Community Well Being, Women, Family and Childhood Development Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah said the contribution was part of the squad’s Ramadan Visits Programme held in collaboration with the Kampung Senau Mosque Youth Friends.

“The programme is specially planned for the holy month of Ramadan.

“A total of 340 people from Dalat District will receive the aid totalling RM44,200 to be given out in stages,” she said during the simple presentation ceremony, adding the village committee selected the recipients.

Fatimah said the programme will be carried out in other villages in the area throughout this month.

She also presented RM2,000 in aid from the Dalat Service Centre to a mosque and RM1,000 each to two suraus.

The contribution is to help the mosque and suraus hold activities throughout the fasting month for the benefit of the local community including youths.
