PUTRAJAYA: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak arrived at the headquarters of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission at 9.42 am today to give a statement over the MACC investigation into a case linked to SRC International Sdn Bhd.

At 11.40 am, Najib was still in the MACC office. He had come there accompanied by his lawyer, Datuk  Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden.

An MACC officer confirmed that the MP for Pekan was still in the building and had not completed giving his statement related to the case.

A horde of reporters, who had been waiting at the MACC building since 8 am, swarmed the vehicle Najib was in as it pulled up at the MACC headquarters.

The MACC issued a notice last Friday for Najib to give his statement today in connection with a case linked to SRC International, a subsidiary of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) that had been placed under the Ministry of Finance in 2012.

On Jan 26, 2016, the media had quoted Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali as confirming that Najib had not committed any crime in relation to funds amounting to RM2.6 billion and SRC International. – Bernama
