KUCHING: tHe Spring Shopping Mall is inviting shoppers to partake in an interactive and immersive festive experience to celebrate the upcoming Gawai Harvest Festival and Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Themed ‘Together Gather, Jom Celebrate’, the campaign showcases elements of the two festive celebrations that are widely celebrated by most Sarawakians throughout the concourse of the mall.

Shoppers can take a leisurely stroll across the mini lush rice paddy fields and pose for a photo with the 3D centrepiece featuring an Iban longhouse at the Centre Court while the crowd-pleasing Raya Bazaar has also returned this year with colourful festive displays inspired by picturesque Malay fishing village, offering a plethora of outfits, accessories and Raya treats.

Every weekend, tHe Spring’s Raya Bazaar will play host to exciting events and activities whereby shoppers can look forward to shop for unique hand-woven bags and baskets from Penan Women Project, learn how to make their own pair of tassel earrings or have their children enjoy an afternoon of arts and crafts with MY Art Studio and MY Craft Studio.

Another highlight of the campaign is the festive redemption programme where shoppers can redeem tHe Spring’s limited edition green packets along with exclusive ‘Buy 2, Free 1’Ramadan Buffet voucher from Old Courthouse, The Faceshop Dearpacker Face Mask Duo, Bath and Body Works Fragrance Mist and Guess Lady’s Clutch when they spend RM300 and above in a single receipt, mall-wide.

tHe Spring Management Services general manager Datin Christine Ling said the campaign serves as a tribute to all Sarawakians while at the same time share the state’s rich cultural experience to both local and international visitors.

“We also made sure that our set-ups are ‘instagrammable’ so everyone can come together with their family and friends to capture their special Gawai or Raya moments with us,” she said at the launch of the ‘Together Gather, Jom Celebrate’ campaign which was officiated by Assistant Minister of E-Commerce Datuk Naroden Majais at the mall’s South Court here on Monday.

As a mall operator with growing competition, she pointed out that there is a need for tHe Spring to learn to keep up with the changes and strive to do things better.

“One of our recent improvements is our collaboration with Boost, the digital mobile wallet app, where shoppers can leave home without their wallets and make a purchase directly with their mobile phones when they dine at our Food Bazaar, Nando’s, Tealive or buy movie tickets at MBO Cinemas,” she said, adding that tHe Spring is the first mall in Kuching to offer cashless transaction via the app.

Ling also announced that tHe Spring will soon bring the first HLA clothing store in Sarawak in line with the mall’s vision to build a marketplace that continues to deliver fresh shopping experience.

“HLA is the latest fast-growing fashion retailer from China offering one-stop self-option men’s wear.”

She added that other brands shoppers can look forward to in the coming months are Aeon Wellness, Fossil and Daiso.
