KUCHING: Two Indonesian siblings are lucky to be alive after they were involved in a head-on collision with a 10-tonne lorry in Muara Tuang, near here yesterday.

The brother and sister pair was making their way to Kota Samarahan when the accident occurred around 7am.

The crash badly damaged their sedan car, while the lorry –which veered to the left side of the road – ended up stuck in the ground.

The sister, who was seated in the front passenger seat, suffered a broken leg while her brother and the lorry driver were unhurt.

Passers-by helped to call for an ambulance which then sent the siblings to the Sarawak General Hospital.
