KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal has expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs of Yayasan Sabah.

“What is happening on the ground is not shown in what had been explained to us,” he said at a press conference after attending a briefing session by Yayasan Sabah yesterday.

Shafie said he had put across the ‘halatuju’ or development agenda of the new State Government to ensure good governance in Yayasan Sabah.

With good management, Shafie said he is confident that the foundation would not only contribute to the social upbringing and education of the people, but would also produce knowledgeable and skilled human capital.

He said Yayasan Sabah has rich resources, including lands, timber and oil palm plantations that should be fully tapped into, while at the same time, Yayasan Sabah should avoid high-risk ventures which the foundation has no expertise nor financial capability to undertake.
