KUCHING: The state government has lifted the entry ban imposed on Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders who were recently appointed as cabinet ministers.

This was confirmed by state Immigration Department director Ken Leben when contacted yesterday.

He was asked to comment on whether the state government would allow PH leaders who are on the state Immigration blacklist to enter Sarawak.

“It is true that the state government through the Chief Minister’s Office has allowed for all federal ministers to enter Sarawak.

“I received the instruction yesterday (Tuesday) and the lifting of the entry ban will be carried out as soon as possible,” he said.

He, however, could not disclose details on the cancellation of the entry ban.

Among the PH leaders in the blacklist were Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Mohamad Sabu, who has been appointed as Defence Minister; Parti Keadilan Rakyat women chief Zuraida Kamaruddin, who is now Housing and Local Government Minister; and Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
