SIBU: Master Chen Musang King Durian Nursery at Wong King Huo Road here officially opens at 10am today.
“The much soughtafter Musang King durians will be available for sale after the opening ceremony,” Chen told a press conference yesterday.
Chen, from Taiwan Agriculture University, is said to be an expert on Musang King durians.
He is now offering Musang King seedlings for sale at his nursery here.
“We also give free consultation with regard to the cultivation and grooming of Musang King trees.
“This is especially useful as farmers and planters need to equip themselves with the proper know-how in Musang King durian cultivation.
“I’m giving my advice or consultation free of charge as part of my after-sale-service,” he said.
According to him, Musang King durian trees need fertilizer and pesticides, which are also available for sale at his nursery.
Master Chen Musang King Durian Nursery has branches in Kuching, Sarikei and Miri.
Meanwhile, nursery manager Augustine So King Shyang told the same press conference that Musang King durian has a smooth, creamy and yellowish flesh which tastes sweet with a tinge of bitterness.
“Here at Master Chen Musang King Durian Nursery, we provide quality seedlings to ensure plants are able to bear top quality fruits,” he said.
