MIRI: Miri Malay Charitable Trust Board (LAKMM) presented 20 poor families food items under its Sentuhan Kasih programme at Surau Darul Ikhlas Kampung Senadin Jaya on Saturday.

“We hope the donation can help lessen the burden of the recipients in this holy month of Ramadan,” said head of Islamic Affairs and Welfare Penghulu Samad Alip.

Single mothers, widows, senior citizens and poor families from Kampung Senadin Jaya and Kampung Merikan received rice, cooking oil, cordial, sugar, flour and dates (kurma). Some items were donated by members of the public through LAKMM.

Also present were LAKMM executive secretary Ashudi Ismail, Senadin community leader Rahmah Hamdan and trust board member Khadija Datuk Muip.
