Road crash victims succumb to injuries

One of the victim’s motorcycles was badly damaged in the crash.

MIRI: Two motorcyclists succumbed to their injuries following a collision between their machines at Rangau junction, near Limbang airport road in Limbang around 9.30pm last night.

State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu in a statement here today said the two motorcyclists have been identified as 18-year-old Mohammad Azlan Abdul Hamid and Harreild Hellvian Hary (16).

“Muhammad Azlan who was coming from the direction of city centre heading towards Limbang airport had collided into Harreild’s machine which suddenly came out of a junction.

“Both motorcyclists sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Limbang Hospital,” he said.

Muhammad Azlan however succumbed to his injuries around 11.30pm last night while Harreild was pronounced dead around 3.45am today (June 5).

Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
