Pelni provides four ships in Batulicin

BATULICIN, S Kalimantan: State-owned shipping operator PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (PT Pelni) Batulicin Branch, Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, prepares four ships to serve passengers for the Idul Fitri holidays, AntaranewsKaksel reported.

“Four vessels to serve passengers for a trip from Batulicin seaport to Tanjung Perak Surabaya, Batulicin-Makasar-Kupang NTT, Kotabaru-Batulicin-Pulau Sembilan-Batulicin-Kotabaru-Majene-Tanjung Silo, West Sulawesi and vice versa,” said Head of PT Pelni Branch of Batulicin, Purwadi here, Wednesday.

The four ships are KM Egon, KM Wilis, KM Sabuk Nusantara 55, and Amukti Palapa which each ship has a capacity of 544 passengers.

The ships are different from the vessels previously operated. The previous ships have no beds for passengers. Now every ship that is prepared already has beds to improve the comfort of the passengers.

Meanwhile, the roro ship KM Egon for Surabaya trip, in addition to transporting passengers also goods and vehicles. This ship sailed every two weeks with adult passenger ticket price Rp201.000, while for babies or children Rp26.000, two-wheeled vehicles Rp450.000 and cars Rp2.064.000.

As for the pioneer ship KM Wilis for Batulicin-Makasar route depart every two weeks, with adult ticket price Rp175.000, while for toddlers or children Rp22.500.
