BANJARMASIN, S Kalimantan: Banjarmasin City’s Drug Detective Unit Police managed to seize as many as 23 packages of narcotics type crystal meth (syabu-syabu) from a dealer who was arrested, AntaranewsKalsel reported.
“The perpetrator was arrested on Jalan Barito Hulu Pasar Beringin, West Banjarmasin,” said the City Police Chief Sr. Comr Police (Kombespol) Sumarto through Drug Detective Unit Chief Comr Police (Kompol) Herry Purwanto here Thursday.
He told that the suspect, AW (39), was busted on the basis of case development resulted from other suspect previously captured.
“This suspect is a network of other actor that we first secure,” he explained.
Herry revealed, from the hands of the suspect found 23 packages syabu-syabu weighing 6.24 grams and cash of Rp600.000.
Based on the evidence, he was charged under Article 114 paragraph (1) sub 112 paragraph (1) RI Law No. 35/2009 on Narcotics with life imprisonment or a minimum of five to 20 years.
“We continue to develop other suspect networks,” Herry said.
